Stardust White Cherry Tree – Atlantic Canada

Stardust is a standout white-fleshed sweet cherry and the first self-fertile white cherry variety, making it an exceptional choice for home growers in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. This variety crops in late July and is known for its regular, moderate to high productivity.

The fruit is large and firm with a distinctive cream-colored skin, setting it apart visually from traditional red cherries. White-fleshed cherries are known for having some of the sweetest flesh of any cherry, and Stardust fully lives up to that reputation with rich, dessert-quality flavor. The cherries have good firmness and are moderately resistant to splitting, allowing for reliable harvests when picked at maturity.

The Stardust cherry tree has strong vigor with a widely spreading growth habit and good branching, making it well suited for backyard orchards and open landscapes. Its self-fertile nature means it does not require a pollination partner, making it ideal for smaller spaces or single-tree plantings across Atlantic Canada.
