Developed in 1952 at Washington State University by crossing Bing and Van cherries, this variety is named after Mount Rainier and has become one of the most sought-after cherries worldwide. Rainier cherry trees are well suited for home orchards in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

The fruit is instantly recognizable, featuring golden-yellow skin with a vibrant red blush and creamy yellow flesh. Rainier cherries are known for their sweet, low-acid flavor with a rich, caramel-like finish, making them a favorite for fresh eating. Tree Replacement Warranty

We proudly offer a full replacement warranty on all trees purchased from Wild Acres Farm. If your tree does not leaf out by July 1st, we will replace it the following spring.

Please note that some trees may be slower to leaf out than others. We recommend keeping your tree well watered and giving it time, even if it appears to be behind other varieties.

Warranty Requirements

To qualify for a replacement, please:

  • Email a photo within 2 days of receiving your tree
    • Include a clear photo of the tree planted, with the surrounding area visible
    • Send all warranty submissions to:
    warranty@wildacresfarm.ca

Please note: You will not receive a reply to your email. We simply require the photos on file to validate the warranty.
